Venice Unpacked
Ten key questions from the 2026 Venice Biennale. Rather than working through the main exhibition, the national pavilions and the collateral events in turn, this course takes Venice apart and reassembles it into ten questions contemporary art is currently working on.

Viki went to the 2026 Venice Biennale several times, beyond the main exhibitions and into the national pavilions and the museums, foundations and art institutions scattered across the city. After researching each artist and exhibition closely, certain questions kept recurring across projects that had seemed separate and unrelated. Those questions do not belong only to Venice 2026; they are the core discussions running through contemporary art today. So this course sets aside the main-exhibition, pavilion and collateral framework, and takes the whole of Venice apart.

Viki Kuo has worked in contemporary galleries and museums in Taipei, Beijing and Shanghai since 2007. After moving to Paris in 2020 she founded and teaches the Paris-Taipei Express art programme, with more than sixty lectures to date.Full profile
Questions
- What if I can't attend live?
- A screen recording is sent afterwards via an unlisted link, so you can watch in your own time. Attending live means you can ask questions as they arise, but missing it does not affect access to the full content.
- I haven't been to Venice. Will I follow it?
- Yes. The course is built around ten questions rather than a walk through the venues. Not having been makes no difference; the necessary background on each work is provided.
- How does this differ from the Venice Biennale course?
- That course is the complete record of two on-site tours, venue by venue, in five chapters and fourteen lessons. This one takes those fourteen venues apart and reorganises them into ten questions that cut across exhibitions. It is shorter and enters from a different angle.
- How do I get the joining link?
- We send one email within 24 hours of enrolment, containing a separate joining link for each session. If it hasn't arrived, check your spam folder or write to contact@reflection.tw.
- Can I get a refund?
- A full refund is available until the first live session begins. After that the content has been supplied and no refund is available.
