Helsinki Biennial
The fourth Helsinki Biennial, with its main venue on Vallisaari, a former military island opened to the public only in 2016. There are no cars; the works are scattered along the paths, through the fortifications and down to the shore. This edition is led by Mami Kataoka, Director of the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo, with Arja Miller of HAM, working around environment and cosmology.

documenta and Skulptur Projekte Münster
documenta runs every five years, Skulptur Projekte Münster every ten. In 2027 they fall in the same summer. The last time was 2017; the next will be 2037. This edition of Skulptur Projekte marks its fiftieth year; it takes place in the city's public spaces and is free to visit.

What the fee covers

The fees above are aguiding fee. These are in-person courses held in museums and exhibition venues: an advisor's interpretation on site, and the planning of what to see and in what order.

Ratedo not includeflights, accommodation, meals, local transport or exhibition tickets. Participants arrange these themselves; pre-departure materials include guidance and booking notes.

The Biennale Deep Tour additionally includes a digital guide before departure. Viewing notes are published online during the tour and can be read on your phone at any time.

How to book

On-site programmes are not confirmed by online checkout. The process is:

  1. Fill in the enquiry form, telling us which programme and what you hope for
  2. We arrange a video call to go through the programme and check we agree on what it is
  3. Once confirmed we send the service agreement; payment follows signature
  4. After payment we open access to pre-departure materials and the members area

The call is deliberate: it prevents people discovering a mismatch only after they have joined. Fees and cancellation terms are set out in the service agreement, which is provided in full before signature.
